Funky Bird

Cross stitch pattern from Barbara Ana Designs. Like all her other imaginary birds, this one is stylized with an extraordinary crest, long polka dot feathers, and an ornate body mixing Quaker and geometric motifs in a unique color range. The bird is holding a rose in its beak. Surrounding the main motif are Quaker style letters. The motif is an oblong shape, slightly rounder at the base. It can be adapted into a pouch as featured in the picture (instructions not included). Stitch count 98 x 123. The piece is stitched on #2235 Edinburgh Linen cream that was walnut stained after stitching to give it a vintage feel.
