Mary Porter 1832

Cross stitch pattern by Praiseworthy Stitches. Surrounded by a strawberry border, the entire sampler is made up of floral motifs, blue birds, butterflies & flower baskets. In the center bottom of the sampler Mary stitched a tree of life complete with Adam & Even a serpent. The short verse reads, "Our infant years like budding flowers require a skillful hand. Short and uncertain are the hours we have at our command." Stitch count 257w x 337h.
