When Thou Art Rich 1710-30

Cross stitch pattern from Hands Across the Sea Samplers. This is a Quaker sampler from the early 18th century. Seven bold geometric flower borders/bands are intricately stitched around a two small lines of text. These read, "When Thou Art Rich Thou Many Friends Shall Find, When Riches Fail Friends Soon Will Prove Unkind." Stitch count 239w x 257h.
