Cross stitch pattern by Lila's Studio. This sampler is inspired by John Taylor, 1634 from the book: "Embroidery Motifs from Old Dutch Samplers", compiled by Albarta Meulenbelt-Nieuwburg. The quote reads, "Flowers, plants, and fishes, beasts, birds, flies and bees, Hills, dales, plants, pastures, skies, seas, rivers, trees. There's nothing near at hand or farthest sought But with the needle may be shaped and wrought." Above the quote are four boxes, each box has a different scene stitched in it. A flower pot of blooming flowers is stitched on each side of the design, with a floral border stitched at the very bottom. Stitch count is 426W x 186H.
