Pajama Party

Country Craft Cupboard.
Started in 1997, this is an annual event on the last Saturday in
January in Berlin, Ohio. This year they expect 500 women to attend "the
world's largest annual pajama party." The event is part pajama party,
part after Christmas sale. The store opens at 6 am, but women start
arriving as early as 4:30 am. And it is a pajama party. No pajamas?--you
can not come in.
The event has become so popular that Karen Lamb, the owner of Country
Craft Cupboard, suggested to other local businesses that they join the
fun. There are even hotel packages available.
The pajama party is over by 9:30 am. The store closes and reopens for
regular business at 10 am.
How to use this idea in your business...
Remember that a people choose a hobby (and stay with it) because it
is FUN. Anything that is fun is good for business. Instead of a pajama
party, maybe a fancy hat party. Just have fun.
